• Upstand Application: For upstands mastic asphalt should be apploed to a minimum height of 150mm. This mastic asphalt should be to a thickness of 20mm, using three coats. Car park upstands should be tucked into a 25mm x 25mm chase cut into the concrete or brickwork, then pointed with mortar.

8. Cooling And Setting

• Curing Time: Once the car park waterproofing is complete it should be left for the mastic asphalt to cool and set properly.
